The 1st Annual Toasted Owl Gives A Hoot 5K was also a first for many of the people that came to run.

Gloria #68 ran her 1st race that day with her running partner Heather. It was great to hear about the feeling of accomplishment and see the smile.
Greg (who recently lost 30 #'s) and Peter also enjoyed they're 1st race and then joined many of the runners in the carbo loading ritual.

I met David during registration and later saw Terri run past me on her way to the finish line. They were smiling then, while letting me snap a picture, and in the Toasted Owl Later on that day.

Mohib and Marty might be younger than me (and could both---possibly---kick my butt in a race), but, we all knew where the refreshments were when we were finished and got to share in new comradely.
