----I would like you to meet Marta. Marta introduced me to the world of acupuncture and it's abilities to heal. As a meat and potatoes kind of guy, and someone who truly does not like needles (especially when the are stuck in me), I was very reluctant to try this avenue of healing.

----As far as "the needle thing" (and I have talked to many of you needle fearing people like me) there is no pain to the needles and they carry amazing healing powers.

----Marta also has a very competitive back round in sports and I can relate to her at that level. She also has a very gentle nature and spirit about her. But, she knows how to gently slap me up side the head when I push beyond what I should be doing. Many times I will burst into laughter driving home from a session with Marta. I'll be playing back, in my head, our conversation during the hour or so we were together and realize she let me know how "not so smart" I was being to my body, without telling me how stupid I'd been. I KNOW-I KNOW- you're thinking women have been doing this to men since the beginning of time. Probably very true. I just think it's a special thing between us, because, I'm looking for it and still miss it until I finally get it later on.
